I have for some time been searching for some good debt collection software that is reasonably priced, can be purchased outright, and adaptable for editing of my own needs.

I tried JRMS and Totality, then I tried to put my own together in Filemaker. With all due respect, I found JRMS very rudamentary. With Totality, it was good but I had to go through too many screens for data entry. Filemaker wasnt truly WYSIWYG.

I tried a couple other demos but I wasnt crazy about paying monthly fees. I have no tried and love ACT! by Sage. I can customize the fields in data entry in the order that I want so my info is easily transferrable. I can set queue reminders for given days and calculate interest.

rrugen,
Have you tried Simplicity Debt Collection Software? It is what we use and has been very easy to customize. Everything is on one screen, no busy tabs or pages to scroll through. You should try it, you can use it for free fro 30 days and the support that we received is incredible. Give it a try

I downloaded and have been testing Collections MAX. Free for basic version and they offer online client access and a bunch of other stuff.

Anyone else try this?
