About Michelle Dunn's Credit & Collections Association
Michelle Dunn's Credit and Collections Association was founded in 1998 to provide resources and help to professionals in the credit & debt collection industry, including credit managers, people starting a collection agency, and business owners. Credit and Collections has thousands of members that join to improve the exchange of credit and debt collection information, to learn more about the industry, to develop better credit practices and methods.
Paid Professional Members of Credit and Collections must adhere to the highest standards of integrity, trust, fairness, personal and professional behavior.
Credit and Collections members must:

Attend the annual Credit Conference.

Display the Credit and Collections Member button on the home page of their company website.

Agree to adhere to the following Code of Ethics:
Members of Credit and Collections agree to further and promote the general welfare of its members, credit grantors and consumers, members of Credit and Collections pledge to promote and uphold the following Code of Ethics and to obligate them:
- To fully understand and strictly follow all applicable federal and state laws relating to the consumer credit, credit reporting and debt collection industries.
- To treat all information with the utmost confidentiality and adopt appropriate procedures to ensure this.
- To conduct our business in a manner reflecting honor and integrity, and report fraudulent and unethical practices to the appropriate authorities.
- To recognize our obligations to our communities as active citizens and keep fully informed on the economic and legal conditions and responsibilities affecting the industry.
- To compete in an ethical manner and make no misrepresentations about others or ourselves.
- To resolve disputes between members in a dignified and professional manner.
- To terminate business relationships with persons who deviate from the principles underlying this Code of Ethics.
